The funeral of a Royal Marine killed by a grenade in Afghanistan will take place in Dorset later.
Marine James Wright died in hospital after the grenade was thrown into his patrol's checkpoint in Helmand Province on 5 August.
The 22-year-old was the fifth member of 42 Commando Royal Marines to be killed in action in Afghanistan.
Marine Wright's funeral is taking place at St John's Church in his hometown of Weymouth in the afternoon.
His partner Shelley is expecting their first child.
'Proud of him' After the full military service, there will be a private cremation for the marine.
Following his death, his father David Wright said: "James was so proud to be a Royal Marine and we are so proud of him. He was determined to be the best."
His mother Sallie Wright said: "He was always smiling with a wonderful sense of humour. James never had a bad word to say about anyone and was so kind and considerate."
His commanding officer, Lt Col Ewen Murchison, said Marine Wright, who joined the service in November 2009, was an impressive young man with an insatiable appetite for life.
